Changes from 2027
We compare your estimated variable electricity costs in 2026 with the situation from 2027 without Dutch net metering. We use your annual figures, contract choice and the selected electricity rates, compensation and grid export charges. In both years, grid export charges are calculated on all kWh exported; compensation in 2026 applies only to any surplus after net metering.
Battery and savings
We compare the available battery capacities using your grid export and consumption profile. The estimate accounts for battery efficiency, charging cycles and how much solar electricity can practically be shifted. Personal advice refines this using your actual consumption times and your home.
Ten-year calculation and sources
The potential saving from 2027 through 2036 is the sum of the calculated annual battery savings. For each subsequent year, we add a default 2,5% to the calculated amount. This is an adjustable scenario based on historical consumer prices, not a forecast. Actual rates, compensation and tax conditions may change.
