Solar panels often generate electricity before your home needs it. The ZinVolt Core can store available solar power and deliver it to your home later. Furthermore, the net metering scheme will end on January 1, 2027, making self-consumption more important.

One expandable Core system

Start with 4 kWh and expand one tower to 16 kWh.

The ZinVolt Core combines 4 kWh storage, an integrated inverter, and smart control. With one, two, or three ZinVolt Link modules, the same tower grows to 8, 12, or 16 kWh. The appropriate capacity mainly depends on when you feed electricity back into the grid and when you draw power later.

This check uses only your grid import and export for a cautious initial estimate. Your panel count, household size and future plans do not automatically increase the result.

We divide the lower of your annual grid import and export by 365. This is only a conservative upper limit for the average energy that could be shifted per calendar day; it does not predict daily battery use.

  • Below 4 kWh per day: Core 4 kWh as a starting point, with a warning that utilisation may be limited.
  • 4 to below 8 kWh per day: Core 4 kWh.
  • 8 to below 12 kWh per day: Core 8 kWh.
  • 12 to below 16 kWh per day: Core 12 kWh.
  • 16 kWh per day or more: Core 16 kWh as the upper limit per tower, always subject to a technical assessment.

Accurate sizing preferably uses the median of at least 28 representative days of P1 data, spread across several seasons. A specialist also checks your meter cupboard, phase connection, peak power, installation location and future plans.

How does a ZinVolt Core work with solar panels?

Your home first directly uses the solar power generated. Any available power that you are not using at that moment can go into the Core. Later, the Core can supply that stored energy back to your home.

Which Core capacity suits my home?

One Core Tower is available with 4, 8, 12, or 16 kWh. A good choice considers grid import and export at the same times, preferably using several weeks of P1 data. Annual values only provide an initial indication.

Can I choose capacity based on the number of solar panels?

No, not responsibly based solely on the number of panels. Power, orientation, shade, measured yield, and the time of day you use electricity collectively determine how much energy can actually be shifted.

Can I expand the ZinVolt Core later?

Yes. The Core starts with 4 kWh. With a maximum of three ZinVolt Link modules, one tower expands to 8, 12, or 16 kWh.

Does the Core work on a three-phase connection?

The Core operates on one selected phase. In the case of a three-phase connection, a specialist must determine which phase and connection are suitable for your home.

Does the Core automatically take over my entire home during a power outage?

No. The Core has a separate backup output for suitable devices, but it does not automatically provide emergency power for the entire home.

Can the Core also smart charge with a dynamic energy contract?

Yes, the Core can charge and discharge within set price limits. Without solar panels or a measured energy profile, determining the right capacity requires a personal assessment.
