ZinVolt P1 Dongle

1. Grab your ZinVolt P1 dongle, your phone, and your Wi-Fi password.
2. Find the port labeled P1 or DATA on your smart meter. Fully insert the P1 plug of the P1 dongle into this port.
3. The status light will first be green. Wait until it turns blue.
4. If the light remains green or does not turn blue, also connect a 5 V / 1 A USB-C adapter to the P1 dongle. Check again if the light turns blue.
5. Turn on Bluetooth and location. Ensure you have 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi near the meter cupboard.

1. Enter your email address.
2. Choose a password and enter it again under Repeat password.
3. Read the terms and conditions and tick the box if you agree.
4. Tap Register.

Does Registration successful! appear? The confirmation email has been sent. Now open your email.

1. Enter the email address and password you just registered with.
2. Tap Log In.
3. On the welcome screen, tap Click here to start. Then tap Continue until Update Profile appears.

1. Under Add device, select P1 dongle only.
2. Check that this option is selected.
3. Tap Continue.

1. Under Configure Wifi, tap Wifi network.
2. Select your 2.4 GHz Wifi network. If a dropdown list with Save appears, tap it to confirm your choice.
3. Enter the Wifi password for this network.
4. Tap Connect.

The app will ask for information about your home and your energy consumption.

1. Under Your Household, tap Create Household.
2. Fill in the following screens with your own situation.

Do you have solar panels? Select House with solar panels.

1. Enter the number of solar panels.
2. Select the type of solar panels. If you don't know, select I don't know.
3. Select the orientation of the panels. Confirm a dropdown list with Save if that button appears.
4. Tap Next.

1. In Overview, check the details of your home, solar panels, and energy usage.
2. Is something incorrect? Tap Edit next to that section and make the changes.
3. Is everything correct? Tap Confirm.

1. Get your ZinVolt P1 dongle, your phone, and your Wi-Fi password.
2. Find the connection labelled P1 or DATA on your smart meter. Fully insert the P1 plug of the P1 dongle into this port.
3. The status light will first be green. Wait until it turns blue.
4. Does the light stay green or not turn blue? Also connect a 5 V / 1 A USB-C adapter to the P1 dongle. Check again if the light turns blue.
5. Turn on Bluetooth and location. Ensure you have 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi near the meter box.
6. Open the ZinVolt app and log in with the account where your battery is already registered.

1. Check that the P1 dongle is connected and powered.
2. Keep your phone close to the meter cupboard and tap Search for connection.
3. Wait while the app searches for the P1 dongle via Bluetooth. This may take a while.
4. Is the P1 dongle found? Follow the instructions in the app to set up Wi-Fi.

1. Return to the Dashboard.
2. Check if you see current readings under Grid and Home.
3. Check if the readings are being updated. The numbers may differ from the image.

Are you receiving current readings for Grid and Home? If so, your P1 dongle is connected, and you can track the energy flows in your home.

On the dashboard, you will also see the status of your battery. You can view and adjust the battery mode via Smart Mode.
