ZinVolt P1 dongle

1. Have your ZinVolt P1 dongle, phone and Wi-Fi password ready.
2. Find the socket marked P1 or DATA on your smart meter. Insert the P1 dongle's P1 plug fully into this port.
3. The status light initially turns green. Wait for it to turn blue.
4. Does the light stay green or fail to turn blue? Also connect a 5 V / 1 A USB-C adapter to the P1 dongle. Check again whether the light turns blue.
5. Enable Bluetooth and location. Make sure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is available at the meter cupboard.

1. Enter your own email address.
2. Choose a password and enter it again under Herhaal wachtwoord (Repeat password).
3. Read the terms and conditions and tick the agreement box if you agree.
4. Tap Registreren (Register).

Do you see Registratie gelukt! (Registration successful!)? The confirmation email has been sent. Now open your email.

1. Enter the email address and password you just registered with.
2. Tap Inloggen (Log in).
3. On the welcome screen, tap Klik hier om te beginnen (Click here to start). Then tap Verder (Continue) until Profiel updaten (Update profile) appears.

1. Under Apparaat toevoegen (Add device), choose Alleen P1-dongle (P1 dongle only).
2. Check that this option is selected.
3. Tap Verder (Continue).

1. Under Wifi configureren (Configure Wi-Fi), tap Wifi netwerk (Wi-Fi network).
2. Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Does a selection list with Opslaan (Save) appear? Tap it to confirm your choice.
3. Enter the Wi-Fi password for this network.
4. Tap Verbinden (Connect).

The app asks for information about your home and energy use.

1. Under Jouw huishouden (Your household), tap Huishouden aanmaken (Create household).
2. Complete the following screens with your own situation.

Do you have solar panels? Choose Huis met zonnepanelen (Home with solar panels).

1. Enter the number of solar panels.
2. Choose the type of solar panels. If you do not know, choose Weet ik niet (I don't know).
3. Choose the orientation of the panels. Confirm a selection list with Opslaan (Save) if that button appears.
4. Tap Verder (Continue).

1. Under Overzicht (Overview), check your home, solar panel and energy use details.
2. Something incorrect? Tap Wijzigen (Edit) beside that section and update it.
3. Is everything correct? Tap Bevestigen (Confirm).

5. Enable Bluetooth and location. Make sure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is available at the meter cupboard.
6. Open the ZinVolt app and log in to the account that already contains your battery.

1. Check that the P1 dongle is connected and powered.
2. Stay close to the meter cupboard with your phone and tap Verbinding zoeken (Search for connection).
3. Wait while the app searches for the P1 dongle over Bluetooth. This may take a little while.
4. Found the P1 dongle? Follow the instructions in the app to set up Wi-Fi.

1. Return to Dashboard.
2. Check that you can see current readings under Stroomnet (Grid) and Thuis (Home).
3. Check that the readings are updating. The numbers may differ from the image.

Are you receiving current readings for Grid and Home? Your P1 dongle is connected and you can track energy flows in your home.

The dashboard also shows your battery's status. Under Slimme Modus (Smart Mode), you can view and adjust the battery mode.
